哀愁のテーマが涙を誘う70sスコティッシュ・モーダルジャズの名曲「B2. What Is The Truth ?」が心に沁みます...。スコットランド、グラスゴー出身のテナー奏者Bobby Wellinsが1979年にカルテット編成で英国のインディレーベルに吹き込んだ名作。スピリチュアルな「A1. Dreams Are Free」からPeter Jacobsonのエレピ、駆け足に展開していく曲調も秀逸ですが、タイトなリズムのジャズダンサー「A2. Love Dance」、正統派バップジャズ「B1. Coundrums」、「B3. Ba-Loos」などもクールです。
